Voices of Aki
An Invitation to Share and Belong
For over forty years, Native Earth Performing Arts has walked alongside Indigenous artists and communities, carrying stories across generations. With Voices of Aki, we step into a bold new chapter — one where artists guide the way forward.
We present a living archive of Indigenous voices — rooted in truth, carried with resilience, and shared with joy. A devoted space where stories are not only told, but honoured. Where the voices shaping tomorrow find resonance today.
At Native Earth Performing Arts, we live and work by the Seven Sacred Teachings
Mission & Intention
Voices of Aki is built upon our sacred values — each one a compass for how we create, share, and honour Indigenous storytelling. Here, storytelling is both legacy and future — connecting generations while reimagining what’s possible.
A platform that uplifts Indigenous voices, from emerging creators to established leaders.
A space where art is not just performed, but honoured as process, expression, and community.
An invitation to witness the creativity, resilience, and brilliance of Indigenous performance.
We bring you a circle of trust, responsibility, and creativity, where artists lead and community thrives.
Foundation & Community
The spirit of Voices of Aki was born in the Indigenous Talking Circle (July 2025) — where artists came together to reflect on what Native Earth means, what stories must be told, and how joy and resilience fuel the future.
From this circle came a shared call: “Create spaces where Indigenous artistry is fully seen, felt, and heard.”
“What does Native Earth mean to you?”
“Words to your younger artist self”
These reflections are the heartbeats of Voices of Aki — reminders that the future is shaped in community.
What’s Ahead
This is just the beginning. In the coming weeks, Voices of Aki will unfold into a series spotlighting bold Indigenous artists whose stories challenge, inspire, and transform.
Together, these voices will guide Native Earth into its next chapter — one rooted in over 40 years of Indigenous creation and looking ahead with courage, grounding, and joy
