Created by Dancers of Damelahamid with choreography by Margaret Grenier in collaboration with Nigel Grenier, Luu hlotitxw: Spirit Transforming is a vivid celebration of Indigenous dance, song, and storytelling. Rooted in the traditions of the Gitxsan Nation, the performance blends contemporary dance with ancient cultural narratives, immersing audiences in a visual feast of regalia, movement, and live music. Through rich imagery and spiritual symbolism, the work reflects the transformation of the spirit and the resilience of cultural identity.
A Culture Storm production in partnership with Native Earth, STITCH is written by Cliff Cardinal, directed by Jovanni Sy, and features Georgina Beaty. The play offers a raw and compelling look into the life of a young woman navigating survival in the city, confronting themes of exploitation, resilience, and human connection. Nominated for the 2017 Dora Mavor Moore Award for Outstanding Sound Design (Andy Moro/Luka Caruso-Moro).
