Aalaapi—meaning “be quiet because you’re listening” in Inuktitut—is a multi-sensory performance blending radio documentary and theatre. Presented by Native Earth, Le Théâtre Français de Toronto, and Luminato Festival, it follows the lives of young Inuit women navigating between tradition and modernity in the North. Through voices, soundscapes, and visual storytelling, director Laurence Dauphinais invites audiences to experience an intimate portrait of community, resilience, and cultural continuity.
