WAAWOONO (Ojibway for “s/he howls”) is a new music and comedy revue featuring stand-up comedy from host Meg MacKay, music from GAELN, and drag from Ozzii Versace. It all ends on the dance floor with a DJ set from KIMIWVN, food, and some mingling!

Meg Mackay, Host/Performer

They've performed at Just for Laughs and the Winnipeg Comedy Festival. They have two comedy albums: Probably a Witch and Clown Baby, the latter of which one best of year end awards for the Toronto Star and NPR.

GAELN, Performer

Manitoba-born, Toronto-based, GAELN is a Métis indie artist belonging to the St Onge line and member of the Georgian Bay community, known for his reflective, soulful, and sentimental soft-rock sound. As a singer-songwriter, Producer and multi-instrumentalist, GAELN has performed across North America, South America, and the United Kingdom, crafting a unique style blending vulnerable, poetic lyricism with soulful rhythm. His debut Album, 'Thrifted Rooms' is out now everywhere you stream and on vinyl!

KIMIWVN, DJ

KIMIWVN is a Toronto based DJ and producer shaping a distinct presence within the electronic and house music scene. Her sound blends ethereal melodies, deep basslines, and percussive club energy, moving fluidly between house, electronic, R&B, pop, and nostalgic 80s influences. Since her debut at Lee’s Palace in 2021, she has continued to develop her craft through bedroom production, collaboration, and an intuitive, emotionally driven approach to DJing.

Beyond the booth, KIMIWVN is evolving into a multidimensional artist, exploring new ways to merge music, visuals, and performance. Her debut EP is currently in development, marking the beginning of a new era in her artistry.

At the heart of her work is a commitment to uplifting Indigenous girls and women and creating greater representation within music spaces.
